About

Dear Member,

Topic of talent in the context of GICs has many dimension - leadership development, skills development, staff retention etc to name a few. These topics have been discussed in multiple forums in past from various angles and we have huge amount of industry perspective on these themes. During this knowledge series, we want to go a bit off track on talent topic and focus on "collaboration" between different functions within any GIC as key differentiator and value creator. We all would agree on benefits of collaborating in any organization but it is also one of the hardest things to achieve given complex matrix organizations, conflicting priorities or sometimes simply lack of skill sets to facilitate collaboration. When the organizations have overcome these hurdles to effective collaborations, the impact on business has been significant.

We would like to have the benefit of peers from across the industry being together to share and learn from each other concrete examples when collaborating across the function was necessity or offered enormous value creation opportunities. How did organizations overcame hurdles to collaborating and what impact the success of initiative had?

Look forward to an action packed 4 hours with role plays, group discussions and panel deliberations on the 17th of October for the 2nd part of the GIC 4-Part Knowledge Series on inter-functional Collaboration .
